Sara got invited to spend the weekend with friends, and much as I'll miss her, I'm thrilled. Aside from the getting up at 7 a.m. to see her off part.

Ugh. (Trigger warning, child abuse.) There's a video that's been airing on Israeli news, which has security camera footage from the Western Wall and shows a man beating his 12-year-old daughter. This is in the holiest place in Judaism, and while a whole bunch of other people walk by. It's only after a minute or so that someone stops him. I'm just horrified at people.

I loved the little laundries in NY. I hated waiting in the laundromat, but I realized for only a few extra dollars, the women there would dry it and FOLD it and bag it up, if I just hung around through the wash cycle.
