Sometimes I miss having powers... Oh. Oh! I know what this is! This is peer pressure! Any second now you're gonna make me smoke tobacco and--and have drugs!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Those are beautiful paintings. Funny how I was able to identify the London ones so easily.

I don't know whether it's geographically the same area, but the one reminded me of the opening of EastEnders.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

4.2. Didn't feel anything in Santa Barbara.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

We've been having aftershocks - for the past week - but they seem to come mostly at night and, once I'm asleep, it takes more than a measly little aftershock to wake me up.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Didn't feel anything here, but this meeting has me quite numb.

Boy, I'm saying "So...where does that leave us?" a lot.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Boy, I'm saying "So...where does that leave us?" a lot.

Just to mix things up, you could add "Have we done Jim the Fish?"

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I got told by several people at the anniversary party yesterday and in my yealy review today that I have a "great" "professional" "cool and friendly" "perfect" "always nice" demeanor. I think that translates to always friendly but never visibly upset, which is pretty much my work game face. I have no problem keeping my emotions in check at work for the most part--I have heard that this is often the case with adult children of alcoholics.

We learn early to put on a competent and calm face for protection or maybe because everyone around us is without boundaries and someone needs to draw he line. It turns out this skill is very useful in a work environment. Also useful in emergencies or in sickrooms.

I had to unlearn this in close relationships where having a game face SUCKS, which took a lot of work, but the upside is that it is useful in public situations. I'd rather my work peeps have no idea what my personal feelings are.
