So, I LEFT the house today, and got a shiny haircut (bday gift from friend.) Not short -- sorry, Hec, but I got about an inch and a half of damage cut off and it looks much better and feels much better.

I found a song that I'd been trying to remember for for months (without remembering the name, artist, or enough lyrics to be useful with Google--Sanctum Sanctorum). So now I can move on and start wondering about other half-remembered college-era stuff. Thanks!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.
I have realized what having a "thick skin" and also being "seasoned" mean at work. When someone says some dumb-ass stuff in a meeting, I know in my heart that she can fuck off because she's wrong. I don't worry about it at all. Unlike my poor coworker who takes everything 100% personally and gets super upset. I swear to god, once in my working life have I been as upset in the office (about work) as she is at least weekly. It's so weird.
