Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

meara, I don't know why it works or if it only works for morning sickness, but I've been taking Zyrtec this week, and it's really made a big difference.

Histamine blockers can help with nausea; I have no idea what the mechanism is that does it, though.

Sometimes I feel like Cliff Clavin.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I DON'T KNOW WHO THAT IS BUT IT SOUNDS EXCITING!

I would despair of you, but you aren't really part of the Goth culture, so I give you a pass. The Damned are one of the Big Important Bands in Goth history - they were there at the start, along with Bauhaus and Siouxsie and the Banshees. Plus the lead singer was one of THE rock star crush objects for gothy girls.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My tablet rang in the middle of a meeting yesterday. It was an informal meeting, and everyone there thought I was very weird for having my home number effectively ring through on my tablet (with caller ID and everything) but I think I won all the geek points extant with that one.

Isn't Dramamine basically the same thing as Benadryl?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Plus "drawing in your sleep" has got the be the easiest way to make a six-figure income.

Anyone else go to a Down a Dark Hall place?

(I've got the idea in my head that I'd love to find some cast-iron-like sculptural wall piece that has frames scattered throughout it so I can group them together, but I might have to design it myself and get it custom made, someday after I win the lottery.)

Go to your local architectural salvage place, get some cast iron, and wire frames to it painted black to match? We sell cast iron at about $10/linear foot.

Conversely-ish, Zantac helps with allergies. You have histamine receptors in your stomach, or something.

Hmm, learning all new uses for my OTC meds this afternoon. Neat.

That's very, very cool, Jilli.

I have to go buy a car charger for my phone, which I needed anyway, because I left my stand charger thing up in PA. I think I may actually go to the beach today, for the first time since I've been living here since mid-July. Funnel cake! And sand and sun, whatever. Funnel cake!

FTR, it was my doctor who told me to take Zantac for allergies. I think.
