That sounds like an interesting play!

I went to dinner with my Supperclub friends (we go to fancy dinners once a month-ish, and call ourselves Superfantastic Supperclub). It was a place Plei recommended (Bastille) and it was very yum. We spent $160 before tip, the three of us. Wow.

And now I have to PACK. And figure out what to wear (a) to look sexy and (b) to not collapse in the heat. I'm not sure I can achieve both at once. Eek.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That sounds like an interesting play!

It's the first one mentioned in this review.

information libertarian

Best wishes for your pregnancy, Kate. I did suspect when I got your message about feeling really sick. I hope it passes quickly; the only thing that was really bad for me was brushing my teeth. I do not recommend ceasing to brush your teeth - you'll pay for it later. Literally.

I got pregnant with Casper 3 months after we moved to NC, and we moved cities while I was pregnant with her, but pregnancies and then babies do create friendships. Plus, we have the friendly people in the internets! It was great for me to be pregnant at the same time as Burrell (and our babies are EIGHT!! now).

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Oh Kate!! How exciting!! I am so thrilled for you and DH.

As for raising kids away from family, Joe and I had Em 2500 miles away from ours and while it is challenging and I definitely felt the same way you do, it was awesome and like so many others said, we created our own community through daycare and parent's groups.

Trust my rage

Kate, congratulations! And like flea mentioned, if you want to be pregnancy buddies, please email! (okay, that sounds sort of pathetic on my part but I don't have any pregnant friends at the moment and pregnancy related boards drive me insane so I'd be happy to chat any time, even if you just want to chat about feeling like crap.)

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Congratulations, Kate!

My biological clock has yet to tick. It might someday, but right now one of my favorite things about my childcare job is that I get to give the kids back to their parents at the end of he day.

I'm on the road to Dragoncon, BTW-- phoneposting from the car. We're road tripping down. So excited!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Most of my issues revolve around the fact that I'm not Tina Fey. WHY AM I NOT TINA FEY?

Not being Tina Fey is sad. However, on the bright side, you don't bear even a passing resemblence to Sarah Palin.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Congrats, KateP!

I was a big fan of Night Court back in the day. So much that I wanted to be Harry when I grew up (and I was already in law school at the time).
