I wonder how old they have to be before they can be really useful minions.
The three year old I babysit for loves fetching things for me and throwing things away in the trash when I ask him to and has for at least a year. His favorite birthday gift this year was a brightly colored broom and dustpan.
Meep! KateP!
I have a silly question. Do you suppose someone has pitched a series about internet fans? And the only interaction they have is on an internet message board? You'd see them individually, and the writers and actors (but never any of the actual show) and then show fans reacting to it and to each other? (i.e. if fans are discussing the physics of a show and one says, "yeah, but you're not rocket scientist" and then we see the other guy posting from a cubicle at JPL)
Should I get working on a spec script?
I asked Olivia to get me a Diet Coke from the fridge this summer and she asked, "does that make me your bitch?" Minionhood depends on the kid, I think.
I asked Olivia to get me a Diet Coke from the fridge this summer and she asked, "does that make me your bitch?"
Ahahahhahaha!!!!
I mean. Uh, that is so WRONG!
Ahahahahahahaha!!!!!
She and Owen watched some Lego Batman movie on Youtube this summer and came to me and told me, in all seriousness, that Alfred was Batman's bitch.
When I asked Olivia what "bitch" meant, she said, "someone who gets you stuff." We resolved that by explaining that Alfred is Batman's butler. Now when I ask her to get something for me she says, "Why am I everyone's butler???"
I'd think there would be many couples with young children in your area, Kate. I looked around a little and I see Lockeland Springs neighborhood association [link]
You'll be a great mom, but I would question the sanity of someone who didn't have moments of terror when contemplating motherhood.
Kate, having raised my kids several hours away from immediate family, I can tell you that there are always a lot of local resources and support networks for moms. I volunteer at a Family Resource Center that has playgroups for local moms and I am also a member of a MOMS Club chapter. They've been great for meeting people and getting some peer relationships for the kids.
