Yes, there is. There's a hurry, Xander. I'm dying...I may have as few as fifty years left.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

the man in Yorktown who decapitated himself in a fight with his ex-wife?

On purpose? That's...kind of hardcore.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hopefully he didn't use a tiny x-acto knife.

Always Anti-fascist!

"He had this thick neck...you're not loving this story, are you?" (C'mon, I had to. Protecting the rep. )

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Holy crap:

However a couple of minutes after the initial incident, a vehicle was spotted on fire at the intersection of Holmes Boulevard and Wolftrap Road. The firemen and officers rushed to the car and they saw the guy inside his white Ford Explorer that was towing a trailer. The man reportedly set the trailer on fire and did not want to get out of the SUV.

At the same time people observed a rope connected to a nearby tree and folded around the neck of the driver. When officers attempted to determine the man to leave the SUV, he suddenly accelerated the SUV and was projected out of the car and beheaded. The Explorer stopped after a 50-meter ride along Holmes Blvd.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

It was ingenious, actually. Allegedly, reportedly, the police responded to a domestic disturbance call, and as they were talking to his ex-wife, he drove past them in a white Explorer, pulling a trailer that was on fire, with a very strong metal-fiber cable tied around his neck, the other end secured to a tree.

...this is kinda gross; should I whitefont? caveat...

The police called out to him to stop; instead he accelerated and the cable yanked him out of the vehicle and snapped his head clean off. So it was clearly deliberate. Why he did it, and why the trailer was aflame, can only be attributed to a sublime sense of drama with a soupcon of craxysauce.

edit: Jessica beat me with her Google-fu!

but I just saw an old news story about Sarah Palin's oldest having a baby, three months after getting married at 22. (The wife is 21.) Those people can kiss my ass SO HARD. Fucking sanctimonious hypocrites.

But see, Jesse, they got MARRIED. That makes it all FINE. (Just like if Bristol and Levi had gotten married that would've been OK too! And it's fine NOW, because like, she totally MEANT to marry him. And is talking about how BAD she is)

Holmes Boulevard and Wolftrap Road

...and this happened about two miles from my sister's house. She'll be entertained by this tale tonight on her drive home.

Compassionately intolerant

Erin, I hope you feel better really soon, and in the meanwhile, do some obedience training on that big, old Black Dog. A good 'Down, Stay!' can do wonders.

msbelle, I love the cool people tumblr. The picture of Pearl Bailey and Truman Capote reminded me of a great story where Pearl dressed TC up as a woman to help him slip the cops who were poised to arrest him for indecency. She was hardcore, that one.

In re: compromise in relationships...I used a word too open to interpretation. The truth is, I'm content with the content of my life right now and am not willing to become anyone's care-lover. It's been a pattern of mine to attract fellows who aren't particularly self aware. They sought guidance, I gave it. It became a mothering thing and I lost interest.

I would rather be with my dog than take on that task again.

Please don't read any cynicism, commentary on men or anything of the sort, I'm just retired from that pattern. Being with someone is not worth repeating it.

I second Jessica's HOLY CRAP.

That really _is_ genius, in terms of a pain-free way to go. But, oy. Other people could have been seriously hurt.

I'm betting the trailer contained possessions, or remembrances of the ex. Why else drive it past her house on your way to oblivion.
