I think I'm getting the philosophical intent behind the polished sink thing down.
Heh - I just started FlyLady too, and I totally know what you mean! Except my kitchen sink is a turqoise-ish ceramic that really doesn't "shine" no matter how well I clean it.
I don't want to go to work yet.
I heard a door slam at 5:30 this morning and I was instantly wide awake. I came out to the living room to find CJ lounging listening to music. He swears he didn't shut a door anywhere.
At that point there was no way I'd be able to get any more rest, so I started work early. I have to leave in about an hour for a doctor's appt anyway, so it actually works out well. Still, too darned early.
Oh, and my voice is kinda gone from yelling during the rodeo last night.
My company's offices, in New Jersey, are closed today because the streets are impassable.
Therefore I should go back to bed, right? Interrupted sleep isn't much better than no sleep, and now I am groggy and cranky.
Oh well. I probably couldn't sleep now anyway, I've already had the morning caffeine.
Hooray! I forgot that next weekend is the long one, and I was just thinking this morning about going to Target, and when would make sense to do that this weekend, and we just got an email about early release on Friday! Perfect!
oooh, we might get early liberty on Friday too!
... aw, shit. If we get it, it's only good for regular employees, not contractors. Damn it. ::pouts::
ION, I think I'm going to have to find a doctor. I suspect this thing backed up into my sinuses is going to become a sinus infection. Bleargh.

She loses me with the wearing shoes inside thing, especially given that my only lace up shoes are sneakers.

She always lost me with that, but now the doctor says I have to wear shoes with inserts ALL THE TIME until this heel heals. It's driving me crazy, but perhaps it's a really perverse way for the universe to tell me to look at flylady again.
She loses me with the wearing shoes inside thing,
Does she encourage that? I kind of skim past the whole "get dressed every day" thing since I figure it's aimed more at people who don't work outside the home. I mean, getting dressed every day is something I have to do no matter how clean & organized my house is.
But I totally agree that wearing shoes inside is a bad idea - if the goal is a cleaner home, leaving shoes outside goes a LONG way to not tracking dirt inside.
