I don't remember the whole story from the book. I think there was some reason the teacher really should have been fired, but they couldn't prove it, or something like that. It's been a long while since I read that book.
No, they just didn't like him because he was very strict. His name was Mr. Standish. I have no idea why I remember that. Tom 'fessed up in the end, though.
We went out in the storm to have oysters and tomato pie and then peanut butter pie for dessert at our friends' house. We did have to take a detour to get home due to a tree in the road but other than that it was fine. Just rainy. Pretty dang windy on the street now. Hope the electricity holds. So far the DirectTV is fine.
Really, right now I'm more worried about my car. The check engine light came on when we tried to drive it tonight and it was not feeling right at all. I don't want to have to think about getting a new car now! And I am hoping it makes it to 200,000 miles. Only 30,000 more to go. Come on, Car!
oh, and I love living right under TV Hill. The local news is forever showing things happening right by our house during weather events!
Tell him you know, Jon B. They've talked about Theremins.
It's true! They are both very down to earth people. I hope the interview comes through for you. You should ask then if he still has this car.
hey, shrift, I didn't just accidentally offend someone in your DW, did I? The no words was to your squash, right?
Sorry, got distracted by Doctor Who. And yeah, I'm pretty sure the no words was due to my staggeringly rude and dirty vegetable pictures. It was pretty... rampant.
Positively love the sheer zanyness of this place.
It's...oddly comforting.

Hah!
We et a lot. And drank a lot. And I have no leaks so far, well, some rain blowing in through the skylight vent, but to be expected since I didn't close the vent. Hostess isn't so lucky, but I left the good cheese with her (english cheddar with carmelized onions from TJs.) And even so, we all care a lot less given the amount of wine consumed. The spread: [link] Horseradish pub cheese, some aged cheddar, aforementioned onion cheddar, gorgonzola with cranberry and walnuts, gouda, marscapone, many varieties of crackers including the rosemary raisin crisps especially for the marscapone, AWESOME guac, garlic hummus, three layer hummus, pita chips, pistachio white chocolate cookies, m&ms....and of course, wine and beer. 3 bottles done for the wine drinkers. For 4 of us (neighbors got called in to work- both nurses.)
Ooh, my power just...not flickered, dimmed. I'd like to keep power, please.
Getting the gusts that make weird whirring noises.

Home is where you're welcomed, no matter what. Stick around and you'll ultimately stumble across one of our semi-annual punning posts, or any other example of us in action.
Nice to meet you, Darth Cheesecake! You made your premiere while I was gone last weekend, so I didn't get a chance to say "Hi!" until now.
I did not know they had any such beast. I think I need me a pair.

is the brand I got, and they were only $2.99 at the crafts store I was at.
My roommate cannot get over the size of my mutant death squash. I need to figure out what would make a good scale picture.
Does anyone have recipes for excellent salsa? I've got loads of tomatoes and hot peppers and sweet peppers and onions.
