There are Hello Kitty skulls in the craft stores. Pink, with a little bow on the side of the skull. They are deeply disturbing.
hey, shrift, I didn't just accidentally offend someone in your DW, did I? The no words was to your squash, right?
I've done nothing today other than work on my mom's cross-stitch piece, which I FINALLY FINISHED!!!
Sorry about the caps--I've been averaging about four hours a night (and 10-12 hours a day on the weekends) on that thing since July 1, so I'm just too damn excited that it's over with and before the end of the month. My goal was to finish it before school starts on the 31st, so I'm happy.
Very nice piece, Kathy. Lots of work.
I haven't done any beading for a couple of months. I've picked up my current project a few times, but haven't made progress.
My great-aunt lived in a Methodist retirement home. The residents put their trash outside their doors at night for pickup. She'd sneak out at night and put her wine bottles in retired ministers' trash.
Yeah, that's the first piece I've done with that level of beadwork, and it was definitely a bitch to work with. The worst part was all the beading that was done on blank portions of the canvas with invisible thread, which lead to me swearing up a storm because I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to finish a stitch!
I'm going to place the order for the materials for this piece next, which I'm going to do for myself.
I've asked my family for Michael's gift cards for Christmas so I can finally get all of my completed cross-stitch pieces framed for my walls.
Very impressive, Kathy!

Ha!

Awesome.
My parents said that their town put in an 8 PM curfew for tonight -- no cars on the roads except for emergencies.
