Mal: So we run. Nandi: I understand, Captain Reynolds. You have your people to think of, same as me. And this ain't your fight. Mal: Don't believe you do understand, Nandi. I said 'we run'. We.

Art Crawl!!!

Allyson - glad they got the part for you and boo on them for still being asshats.

Jilli - you are so much the person who interviews Dave Vanian. Can't wait for your field report. (We're getting one, right??)

Watching the Travers. Doesn't appear to be raining at Saratoga.

Is it raining in SE PA? I have relatives there, in Baltimore and in Ithaca.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Allyson, congrats on getting the part -- way to use the internet to your favor!

Burrell, I got your message. Are you busy tomorrow AM?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I hope the car is repaired and returned Monday with you never having to see them again.

DAVE VANIAN. THE DAMNED. I am not cool enough to have sent that email.

Dave Vanian is massively cool, but you? Are not just cool enough to have sent that email, you are more than cool enough to sit down and interview him. Using actual words and sentences. \\m/

Thrive to spite them

I went to the farmer's market and got Puerto Rican food, local wine, and fresh corn.

Pie pumpkins are out at one place. So next week I'm going to buy some pumpkins and roast them I guess. I need to get at least one knife sharpened otherwise there will be no way to get into the pumpkin unless I smash it on the floor.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Allyson, I am so glad the part was found. I still want you to use the internet to grind that dealership into dust.

Thank you for the reassurances, everyone. My insecurity monsters like to show up every now and then. I am shutting them up with coffee and pink hair dye.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Jilli, you are way cool. They'll be tickled to meet you. Maybe even tickled pink!

Allyson, yay on the part! And boo on the asshat dealership. Call in a boycott by fb.

My nails have been bare nearly two months. Somebody tell me what to paint them.

I have to go eat two peaches on the brink of no longer good, and cull the cherries. I have produce fail, and it's inducing guilt, which is inducing avoidiness. Sigh. I have to kick my own butt to deal with fruit. And I want an ice cream sundae thiiiiiiiiis big. With syrup and nuts and whipped cream on top. Couldn't eat more than three bites, but I want it.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My head is shaved. Thank god. It was way overinvolved--she kept combing after cutting, but it's DONE. $16 of done. I am also done, for the day. All I'm going to do is hydrate. But I wish I had bought more bread before I fell over in this mess.

My floors are clean, and in about an hour, I shall head down a few doors to drink and eat too much.
