Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Hey Connie. We went to the doc and he said CJ's nose is raw and to treat it gently while it heals (careful in karate and with his high altitude training on Saturday). He gave CJ a few tips for if he gets any nose bleeds in the next week. They also took 3 vials of blood to check for various things. I'm kinda glad he didn't give me a laundry list of what they are checking (don't need anything extra to worry about until results are available on Friday). Based on CJ's medical history, he hasn't had issues with uncontrolled bleeding before, so this was likely a freaky one off thing. But I'm glad they are checking anyway.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That sounds okay for CJ.

How can you POSSIBLY victim blame in a rape case where the victim is 11? How? She could have been naked and trying to sit on your dick, there's no excuse.

Because books.

It's the eyes thing that would have freaked me out, Suzi. I'm glad they took blood -- but I agree it's better not to know right now what they're checking for.

It reminds me of when Jake was a newborn and it looked like one of his eyes was bleeding. I FREAKED out, and it turned out he'd scratched the rim with one of his tiny, sharp fingernails.

Fortunately/unfortunately, when the doc asked how he heals from cuts, we were able to tell him about how CJ stabbed himself in the leg a month ago and bleeding wasn't an issue. Intelligence, on the other hand...

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I have now reached Save Firefly levels of insanity.

Sara's house! No more settling!

I hope all of CJs tests come back with good results -- the bleeding eyes things! yoiks!

I am missing the michigan weather of 77 degrees. This hot crap blows.

My former principal told us on the last day of school he was leaving (no shit...after making some extremely bad personnel decisions like letting go the one teacher in the history department who teaches and has good success on AP exams). The new principal is going out on disability and so we are getting an interim. The whole thing is totally fucked up. Yay new school year?

The LA Zoo this saturday is having a star wars day. Noah doesn't know yet, but I'm super excited.

Also, I just deleted 728 work related emails unread -- it's all AP listserv stuff. It was very liberating.

Noah's gonna blow a gasket that day!

Yeah, no more settling. Please. I'm really relieved that this is the worst of it, but I'm tired of natural disasters. And the hurricane will really test my roof. My roof post-earthquake. Cries.
