Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

My hemo doesn't see kids. We have an appt with his doc this afternoon.

Thanks for the ~ma. I'm trying to chalk this up to a one off thing until tests or experience proves me wrong. Even so, I'm having a very hard time concentrating on work.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I got an email from a writer at a car website, asking for quotes. *hope*

Making problems public, especially when someone else helps spread the news, can get some remarkable results. Remember the guy with his YouTube video about the airline (United?) destroying his guitar?

And I once had a survey company harass me for four months - calls every night, refused to put me on a "do not call" list - until I got a consumer reporter from the Post to write about it. The calls stopped real soon after that.

Why is Chicago so humid today? I thought I'd be able to leave that in DC.

Are you here long enough for a F2F?

Yeah. I came across a story last night of a black folk singer who was taken off a plane for reading a book about historical planes. That's all. They escorted him off the plane, checked his ID, looked at the book, and then put him back on the plane.

So he posted on his blog about it, but seriously. WTF. I hope he gets some press, because that's just stupid.

Because books.

Suzi, holy crap. Go you for keeping it together. Fingers crossed for the appointment later.

What now? How is that even remotely a problem?

Got me! Also, he's a big black guy. Which I suspect was a significant factor in the flight attendants' decision to call security.
