Punishingly Intricate

I got right under a doorframe! My training kicked in even though I lived in SF for 5 years and never felt a thing.

Because books.

I had looked at my watch at about 1:55 when we walked out of the bookstore, and I didn't feel a thing. Weird.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

The job situation is still up in the air. The big boss has two lists to look at, and the guys above me on the open list are clearly not qualified for my job, but there may be some on the merit promotion list. And if there are, then he will have to hire from that. And if there aren't, they are going to cancel the announcement and re-announce the job with Selective Placement Factors, and that would happen in like a month or six weeks.

Wait, what?? Good lord, it just gets worse and worse.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Last I heard, doorframes are not where you should stand-- people assumed they would stay standing because in old adobe homes, buildings would fall down around the door frames. But they're not safer these days than protecting your head under furniture.

Compassionately intolerant

People may be taking it in stride, by I am sure the fuck traumatized. This is why I left California, straight up.

All my childhood training came back to me and I realized that absolutely NOWHERE in my house is safe.

I'm still not breathing properly.

My friends' shop shook so hard that big patches of paint chipped off their brick facade.

My poor landlord, in the middle of several thousand glass bottles, couldn't think of anything to do but lie on the floor.

FUCK. I can't stand this.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

And if there aren't, they are going to cancel the announcement and re-announce the job with Selective Placement Factors, and that would happen in like a month or six weeks.

What?!

I do not even know what to say to that. I thought the idea was to, you know, hire you for the job you are already (and have been) doing. WTF?

Good grief, Connie, that's a PITA.

We just did the math, my sister and I, and I am 490 miles from the epicenter, and she is 530 miles, and it was strong enough for her that she headed for the door frame.

I have multiple friends in Ohio that confirmed feeling it (in Columbus and Cincy) and a friend in Ontario that said she felt it too!

Dear news people:

North Anna nuclear plant was safely shut down immediately after the quake. The diesel generators are all operating fine. The plant is built for higher ground shifts than this quake. Please chill.

Allyson/Maria - Does GM make this car overseas also, or would they potential stock the part there? Could those inventories be searched?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Who still needs to check in? Vortex? Emily? Who else?
