ooh! it occurred to me - for racing (CAR racing) fans, there's a movie out called "Senna" about a Formula One driver. It sounds like it might be interesting to you.
Ayrton Senna. God, that whole race was a nightmare ('94 San Marino Grand Prix). Barichello broke his arm and Ratzenberger was killed, both in qualifying, and Senna's fatal accident occurred on the restart lap after an accident at the starting line.
I need to find this on DVD.
