Name a network Yo-Saff-Bridge and see if s/he finds you?
Oooh, good plan.

And now I have to go. Hope to see y'all sooner rather than later.
Yay, Daisy!
I put in a request for quote at the dealership on a camaro, just in case it all goes south.
And you will let me know what number they come back with, correct? I want to make sure they're actually giving you a deal. I will also get you the supplier discount certificate, which can be used with existing consumer rebates, and promotional financing, though I won't be able to get that to you until Monday at the earliest.
I don't have anything for you yet, but I know they're still working on it. If I don't have anything by Monday morning, I'll follow up.
(Good lord, it's been a day.)
DJ!
I think Maria should start a business as a car ombudsman. I would have paid to sic her on a dealership my mother had trouble with.
Heh, Ginger. It's been part of my job duties for the last 10 years. I have no issues running roughshod over dealers who don't give a rat's ass about customer service.
So if I am working with a product that gives me a list of 16 patents, but two of the patents on the list are duplicates of two other patents on the list, and then I discover that the list decided not to include the two patents from India on the list, there should still be 16 patents total, right?
Hi Maria, I just found out that GM lost the manufacturer and don't have a new one in place. When they get a new one, they'll have to tool up. This means it could be months.
Yep, but let's wait and see what E and L come up with. They have been known to pull parts out of their asses.
Unless, of course, you really want the Camaro, then we can focus on getting a good trade-in on your car and a good price on the Camaro.
This just gets more appalling. Is there any system to query all the dealerships about parts in stock?

Unfortunately, this kind of stuff happens all the time. Parts suppliers go under without warning, and it takes a while to get someone else spooled up. New dies have to be cast, then they have to be approved by NHTSA, and then they have to make them and ship them.
There is a system to query all dealerships, but it's not always real-time inventory. It all depends on how often the dealership transmits the updated info back to central.
