I've used that dealership for 20 years, so maybe I've acquired some kind of frequent repair points.

I apologize for the rapid-fire sequential posting.
Allyson, try ordering the pedal from here: [link] It appears to be in stock, though the parts department is closed so I couldn't verify they actually have it on hand. They open at 7:30 AM EDT tomorrow and their number is 1-888-501-2401.
Sometimes dealerships don't think to check with other dealerships, preferring to take the easy way of only looking in the warehouse. Gives the manufacturers a bad name.
Maria rocks.
I love our hivemind.
On a vaguely tangentially subject, related to MFNlaw's tagline, I recently saw a commercial. It's in the locker room of a hockey team, probably mid-game. A big, burly, sweaty hocky player is on the phone with his little girl, it's bedtime and, to make her happy, he sings "The Itsy-Bitsy Spider", complete with hand gestures. His teammates gradually gather around, listening, silently. When he's through, he says good night, she says, "I love you daddy." There's a little friendly teasing - one player is missing several front teeth - and, in a spirit of teamship, they go back to finish the game.
I'm probably not telling it well, but it's sweet.
aha! Jilli! I put a book in the mail to you.
Did I tell you people about my coworker having her baby? She told us she was going in to be induced Monday night, and then we never heard anything! Finally another coworker called her husband's cell, and I guess she had the baby on Tuesday! Or possibly yesterday -- I heard both things. But still. We were worried! The baby is cute.
Wow. This is kinda cool to come back to my meeting from, except for the part with Buffista distress. But the rest rocks.
Speaking of rocking, my new boss just "let slip" that he's attended Star Wars anniversary screenings in costume. I am so golden. I don't know if he could hear the mental squeeing I was doing, but this is the first time I've ever felt I had a boss dorkier than me. It's a nice feeling.
Though, really, I should go through my folio thingy and remove all the 8.5x11 work-doodled fanart. There's more accumulated in there than I'd thought.
I have a sketch at my desk that one particularly nosy guy was delving into, and I had to tell him that, no, I don't draw people I know, and no, I don't name the people I draw. They, you know, already have names. He so had no understanding of what I was talking about.

Coworker's husband! It's your job to make those calls!

Heh. That's excellent.
Love you, Maria.
It's coming down buckets. There's another cell in Silver Spring on the same trajectory. And one behind it in Centreville, on the same line. And I just had to correct a typo, that crack was so close I jumped. I think I have to give up on getting to swim tonight. That's pretty much a lineup for the next couple of hours.
Hey, I'll find out if the leak is really fixed!
