I think the weirdest thing for me was that I had just written "Mimi!" on my to-do list for the day when my mom called (as in I was planning to go sit with her for a while -- she hadn't been alert enough to speak or acknowledge anyone for days). And then as I was leaving the nursing home, "Welcome to the Black Parade" had just started.
The staff there are just incredible, though. Mimi was there seven years, and so many of the staff have been with her the whole time, and loved her like one of their own family.

So Hubby found someone with cash in hand--$6000 cash in hand--to buy a few of the complete Magic sets we have. Original sets, from back in the day. He pulls the binders off the shelf--and finds that at some time in the past few years, someone who has access to the back rooms of our house has lifted several of the rare cards.
He is not a happy man, and I get to spend the rest of the week with someone who is madly tearing apart the house hoping that somewhere in all the years of stuff are cards to make up the sets. It's not going to happen, and this won't be pretty.
