"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Correct.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

OK- I think I might get it now. I think all these years the finance people and my boss were talking at cross purposes. She always felt that they were telling her we never made any money, when she could see that we were making money. And they just kept saying BUT YOU AREN'T COUNTING THE OVERHEAD!!!!

Maybe doing something that men are praised for doing and women are called "being a bitch"

Yeah, I thought about that. It's a military environment, but I figured there's no point in arguing it.

"Yes! We defeated you for all time! You will never rise from the ashes of your shame and humiliation!"

Oh, wait, that's the volleyball game? I loved that, it was so over the top. It's one of the few times I really felt sorry for Azula.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Crowdfund a USB dildo

It's really pretty, but I'm not sure what all the money's for.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Gah. 90 minute conference call between some technical people and some admin people and I felt like I was the only one who understood both sides. I tried to "translate" a couple of times, but neither side wanted to take a moment to listen. I swear we spent at least 30 minutes clarifying, reclarifying, re-reclarifying one simple idea.

And now we have at least 3 more conference calls set up to rehash most of the stuff we were trying to deal with today. Oh, joy. The most frustrating person on the call is a gal whose job is to train others. She caused the vast majority of the confusion.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I have to share this snippet from the GCS mailbag, which has me making the same faces and sounds I make at flaily kittens:

"my names october and im 12. ive been goth since i was 10 so im no baby bat all though its my nick name."

OH PRECIOUS. Yes, kiddo, you are a babybat, even if you have been Goth since you were ten (two years ago). I love my little gothlings.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Dear babybat:

I don't think the goth handbook says that apostrophes are optional.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Holy shit, I just watched a video of the stage collapse at the Indiana state fair. Ugh.

This is one hell of an image though. [link]

Well, this is great.

My conversation with my New Boss this morning? My Nemesis was eavesdropping on it--standing around the corner and pretending to read the paper.

She then went off and told another coworker that I was "on her list". To which the reply was, "She wasn't already?"

Fuckity. This woman is not beyond outright lying to get me in trouble. Now I wish I'd never had that conversation.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, fuck, Consuela. Maybe New Boss doesn't think too highly of people who hide and deliberately eavesdrop on private conversations.
