What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I met Sheryl and her DH last night! They came to my show and enjoyed themselves, verily. Several of my castmates spoke well of them.

And what does the instructor's salary have to do with how much the overhead is?

I expect this is a rule-of-thumb thing based on the historic costs of classes. They may have found that the total cost of all classes averaged 1.5 times the total cost for instructors. If this was consistent for several years, it's a useful rule of thumb even though it might not apply to every instructor and every class.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And what does the instructor's salary have to do with how much the overhead is? Aaargh. Oh well.

It's an average -- overall, the U. knows it spends X on salaries and .5X on overhead (apparently -- in my experience, overhead is calculated on everything, not just salaries, but I'll go with it). So instead of figuring the exact specifics each time (flyers, IT, whatever), you just use the 52% every time, and it works out over the year.

Jesse has it. I work with this type of calculation with our engineering projects and we use similar calcuations when deciding to go after a project.

The search CJ was working on Sunday is still continuing (CJ is at school though). He is going nuts, wanting a conclusion.

Yoiks. Okay, I finally gave up and went and dumped on The New Boss about My Nemesis. I am informed that I come across as "sharp". (Woops.)

OTOH, he had some good ideas for how to manage working with My Nemesis, even though it's clear they're never going to get rid of her.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sharp?! After what they've done to you Suela, I'd say that "sharp" is a fairly benign reaction. I'd be more "cut a bitch."

I always expect that I come across as sharp. Hello, I am from Boston and I work in a female-dominated profession in Georgia. I am in the dictionary next to sharp.
