Angel: Yeah, I never told anyone about this, but I-I liked your poems. Spike: You like Barry Manilow.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Matilda quotes this morning.

1. {Whilst playing with her stuffed animals} "My Llama bit me!"

(Note my restraint in not launching into the whole Monty Python riff.)

2. {After I took a shower and then returned to the nerd hole, which means I had to cross directly in front of her while she was watching Spongebob, and hence mesmermized}

"Daddy are you there?"
"Yep."
"I didn't see you! How did you get over there?
"Uhm, I walked right in front of you."
"Oh daddy! You're so sneaky and magical."

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

"Oh daddy! You're so sneaky and magical."

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am being Very Efficient and Getting Stuff Done today.

I wish to stop.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am basically sleep-walking through the work day, taking advantage of my last boss-free day! I CANNOT WAIT to go home directly after work and sit on my ass. Doing Stuff is EXHAUSTING.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Why do I have a nearly-migraine-strength headache on my day off? (Other than "the gods hate me," of course.)

Because books.

I have been Very Efficient all week. It's very strange.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I'm working from home today (I know, shocker) and it is a hurry up and wait type of day. So I'm cooking as I wait. I have beets boiling, and I've made a batch of yogurt with cucumber, garlic, dill, and raisins. I'm in the middle of slicing more cucumber (can you tell my CSA gave me a bunch of cucumbers?) to soak in a sugar/vinegar bath.

I'm also trying to clean house cause my aunt from Germany will be visiting tomorrow. Acckkkk. K-Bug is working most of the day. CJ is at school and then going to work an event immediately after (with his ARP crew).

(I use parens way too much).
