"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yay flea family!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Every time we say "Yay Fleas!" I picture the flea family, as, well, fleas, jumping up and down. It is adorable!

Yay fleas!

I'm still sorta stunned/weirded out when I give advice to my teen Miss T on fb and all her friends like or comment thankfully on my post. Dude. Me. Advice for teens. Words that should be never be spoken in the same decade. I was not among my peers and certainly not hers. I was a nerdy weirdo, and still am. But apparently they hear me. Huh.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

YAY, Fleas! I'm so happy for you!

ita, that kind of micromanaging would make me crazy. Can you rebel and just do it on Monday: "This is ita moon and it's the week of August 11th. Please leave me a message and I'll blah blah blah..."?

Librarian Warlord

Congratulations, Family flea!

I actually really appreciate it when people update their VM. Possibly because I work with academics who don't keep regular schedules, and expect me (or someone in my dept) to be available to them at all times. If I'm picking up the phone to call them, it's probably time sensitive. If a prof is calling me, they need to be reminded that I go home at night.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was a nerdy weirdo, and still am. But apparently they hear me. Huh.

That's because now you're a grownup! And cool.

Did you guys see the thing on Jezebel about the study that said that people enjoyed stories more with spoilers?

[link]

I totally want to know how a book ends before I read it, but I did not really want spoilers for TV shows I really liked (like Buffy). I almost always read a book by reading the first few chapters, then reading the end, and then reading the book.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Sophia, that's the way I read books, too. And for a while I was all about spoilers with Buffy, but then realized it really took a lot of the HS out of the HSQ and I did my best to give them up. Nowadays I get downright cranky if I get spoiled for my favorite shows.

The study looks like it was done on short stories, so I am not sure you can apply the results (like Jezebel is seeming to) to tv shows or movies.
