I took that test. Now my eyes are ferwonked. Eventually the throbbing flashes of light will stop, right?

That test was designed to illustrate the Forer effect. So yeah, the results do read like a horoscope; that's the point. Interesting that it's being spread around without that context, though. Where did you see it linked, ita?

Punishingly Intricate

What's the Forer effect?

It was on i09...or is 09? A friend linked to it from there.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Forer effect

If that's the point of the test, why the seizure-inducing paranoid graphics?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

owned 3 cars before Matt

1 car borrowed for awhile with matt

we've bought 4 together.

but the first two cars I owned lasted maybe a year

and the three we bought together - new - two lasted 10+ years 'till they were hit , one is 6 yrs old , and the other is less than a year old - so car habits have changed

now to take the test

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

On IO9 it's being touted as a test to drive you insane. That's certainly how I went into it. I found it creepy as hell, and barely read the assessment at all.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Perkins, thanks for the trivia link. We're starting the World's Biggest Trivia Contest here in town on Friday. That site may come in handy.

I know at least one place in Chicago that carries it, so you may be able to find it in LA.

There are a dozen places in the greater Chicago area that sell it but it's not available in LA--at least according to their website.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

those questions were silly

how could I even think the conclusion made anysense when the questions made no sense and my answers were random?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That test was hilarious! I just started laughing about half-way through. Which one IS pretending?????

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hey, amych did you know that Romy Schneider's daughter starred in a french miniseries about Mlle. Maupin?

Biasini made her film debut in 2004 starring in the Emmy-nominated French mini-series, Julie, Chevalier de Maupin, a swashbuckling adventure story loosely based on the life of the sword wielding 17th century opera star Julie d'Aubigny (Mlle. Maupin).
