Glad you are covered and okay.
The question I have is if a tree falls from your yard and hits your car--is it a home owner's insurance claim or a car insurance claim?
Well, my rental and car insurance are both from the same place. With any luck it'll be the adjustor's concern.
Yikes, Calli! I have to admit, that's a concern newly on my radar, given the vintage of the trees on my street.
Telecommuting today. Mister Kitty has a checkup this morning.
I've gotta say, so far State Farm has come up aces. I just talked to the insurance rep. They'll pay to get the tree off my car, for the car to be towed to the body shop, for all repairs (after my $100 deductible), and for a rental car until it's fixed. And I only had to wait about 5 minutes to talk to a human. (Or at least to a non-machine. Maybe they hire entities from other planets or dimensions. Who am I to judge?)
Yikes! But nice work on the insurance co.
Trees are to stay vertical, dagnabbit! Glad the damage was only to things.
Calli, that was bizarre! No storm to knock it down or anything? I'm glad you were in the house at the time.
Also, that's one of the reasons I've stayed with State Farm forever, they are very, very good with claims. I've never had a problem with one being paid and the service that comes with is always fantastic. Of course, I suppose it can vary from agent to agent, but I've always had very good luck that way.
There was a very mild thunderstorm last night. We've had far more intense ones without tree problems this summer, but I guess this tree had finally decided the limb wasn't working for it anymore, and needed to go.
