What can you tell by what browser a person uses?
I KNEW IT. ALL THE TIME.
Man, my neck feels like it's being squeezed by a vise.

I may or may not have diabetes, but I have been doing a fairly low glycemic diet and I do feel a bit better. I had a high fasting blood sugar and normal H1C and then 3 months later both were normal. So, I am in a wait and see pattern. I think I would have rather had the medicine.
My mother had successful cateract surgery, as did my grandpa. Their problems were more from the glaucoma

Remember the crazy astronaut lady? Here's what she's been up to since: Former NASA Astronaut Lisa Nowak Expelled from Navy
Nowak will retire from the Navy with an "other than honorable" discharge, which will also lower her pay grade and could affect her eligibility for veterans' benefits, reported the Associated Press. Her rank will be demoted from captain to commander when her retirement takes effect on Sept. 1.
A statement released Thursday (July 28) by Assistant Secretary of the Navy Juan Garcia said that Nowak "demonstrated a complete disregard for the well-being of a fellow service member," and did not conduct herself as is expected of Navy officers, reported the AP.
There's sumthin' wrong with that woman....

Bah!
I will accept this, though:
The report suggests that people using Explorer, the built-in, default browser for Windows-based computers, may be more resistant to change.
may be more resistant to change.
Or employed in Corporate America.
Which is pretty resistant to change.
Or dependent on someplace institutional (public library, school, community college, senior center...) as the only place in their lives with access to the internets.
On its own merits as a browser, I hate IE as much as the next web dev, but I've been seeing that link all over the place today with a pretty hefty dose of "HAR I TOLD YOU THEY'RE STUPID WE HATES THEM!" and thinking about how both digital divides and IQ scores correlate awfully strongly with privilege or disadvantage.
OH HAI MY KNEEJERK LET ME SHOW YOU IT
"HAR I TOLD YOU THEY'RE STUPID WE HATES THEM!"
I'm not saying they're stupid. I'm saying I'm genius.
Of course you are, Opera Lady! Just having a little twitch at some of the deeply user-blaming responses I've been seeing elsewhere to the same link.
