So, how was your summer? Mine was fun. Saw some fish. Went mad with hunger. Hallucinated a whole bunch.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'm so sorry, DJ. Worry about interior goings-on is hard enough. But it's much worse compounded with negative pressure from without. Here's hoping for the best outcome possible.

That's horribly stressful, DJ.

Me, I'm watching the news about Congressional deadlock and trying to find out if my office will be closed next week. Nobody seems to know...

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I want to go home. Or crawl into a bottle.

Bet you could think of a really sweet bar where you'd have a little of both, DJ...

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Thanks guys, and I'm sorry about your parental decisions and job stuff too 'Suela.

I think I'm going to ride out the next 15, and then go see Jon.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, that sounds good, Suela. Ugh.

Also ugh to Daisy -- good luck with everything, and sorry you work for the kind of place that people want to crap on.

I have a general malaise, and wonder if not going to work tomorrow will help or not. I've had a low-grade headache since Sunday, which, if it's because of weather or allergies, isn't going anywhere anytime soon anyway, I guess. Meh.

It's like hating on Starbucks, I suppose.

Yeah, at least the kind of people who tend to crap on my workplace tend to be people I feel free to ignore and/or mock....

One of the things I do like about my workplace is that, in general, people like the organization I work for. We save lives in very immediate and visual ways.

Granted, we don't always get everything done perfectly, but as a general rule, people like us.
