Natter 68: Bork Bork Bork
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Although I assume cinq is the French five, yes?
Yes. But you can't bet on the other numbers working--CINQ gets through on a card game pass.
If my phone knew the aisles in my stores, that could help. I do try and use a list, but I shop at three different stores, so mapping by aisles is really not going to work.
But I don't buy much at all--I only shop a little in advance for everything but the easy stuff, the cereals and juices.
I would recommend my shopping app as it can track aisles and prices in multiple stores, but it's WebOS and I don't think that does anyone but me any good.
Eta: speaking of being overwhelmed with choices, do I want a cup of tea, some hot chocolate, or water? I'm pretty sure I want to drink something.
I like visiting the salad dressing aisle to be amused by all the varieties, then shaking up some of the ones that are in the bottle in layers to prove they're more gourmet/better/whatever than the pre-mixed ones. I tell myself that I'm curious to see how well/if they will re-separate, but really, I just like shaking them up. I don't buy any of them, but I like perusing. I go in with a list, sometimes I pick up something else if it's a good sale, and I'm perfectly willing to leave if they don't have what I want.
Doesn't look like it exists for the Android, -t, but I did look around at other shopping list software. What I have is pretty dumb and has high overhead--it keeps synching with the web, which would be marvellous if there were any way for me to modify the list on the web.
I hate the typing on the iPod, so not that.
There's bound to be something good for Android.
I miss the old Hot Shopper from back when I had to plug a phone attachment into my PDA, that had everything I wanted and not a ton of bells and whistles that I don't need. I will probably miss Shopping Manager when I inevitably migrate to an iPhone.
Wow! Now that's a dame. NSFW, it's Helen Mirren in Ken Russell's Savage Messiah from 1972, and she's looking practically Hayakesque.
Ralph's should totally release an app. There should be an app for that. An android app.
The app I'd been using before fancied itself a contact manager and other extraneous stuff. More bother than strictly required. Hopefully this will be tamer.
Those are great breasts, Hec, but I don't know if they're Hayakesque
The SO does it one further and looks at the sales and stuff on the web first, and then makes the week's menu plan based on what's on sale. He never comes home without more than 40% off. But I still have to go once in a while, because this is so me:
ISTG I can go in for three things, go right to them and not look at anything else, and somehow when I get home it's two hours after I left.
That I have to periodically go stand dumbly in front of the boxed tea for, like, twenty minutes. And still come home and think I made the wrong call. It's fucking tea, brain! It doesn't matter that much! You like tea! You'll drink it and enjoy it! It needn't be a federal case!
