Giles: Stop that, you two. Riley: He started it... Xander: He called me a bad name! I think it was bad; it might have been Latin.

Zen, now I (ab)use my neighbors' goodwill (and buy them wine or leave cookies and return favors,) but when I had a couple staying at the house when I was in Nepal/Bhutan, I think it was $30/day, and that was you know, staying here and 2 shots a day. I used to pay the kids at my old place $10/day to come over and feed and water and scoop.

I think my vet charged $17/day plus a medication fee for boarding per cat, but that was a couple years ago.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I suspect two monitors would just increase my goofing off by 66%.

Most of the time, one has work stuff and the stupid ancient IE that is still the firm default, and the other has Firefox with gmail, here, and any other personal stuff I am looking at.

I do sometimes have work on both monitors, but not all that often.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks, brenda.

And thanks, smonster, too! $13/day it is.

I suspect two monitors would just increase my goofing off by 66%.

I read this as two *minions* and thought, I'd goof off a lot more than that...

WTF Backyard Burger? The restaurant was locked up tight (but still lit) at a quarter to eight on a Monday night?

Loki is monitoring my wall again. Always makes me wonder about mice (though I've never seen them here.) But Devi is ignoring it, and she's my surefire mouse detector, so... But he's REALLY interested in the wall.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Back from FKO. Lots of great music, lots of friends, not enough sleep.

Also Gary won the bid on a framed Experience Persephone poster signed by 10 people from the Whedon-verse, including Ron Glass and Tim Minear.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh! I learned "poftim" from BBC's Top Gear! It means, like, "here, have a thing," right?

Yes! Or "you're welcome," or "after you," or some other things I can't remember.

(psst, Zen, that was sarameg, not me. but you're making me feel better for doing doubletakes at NoiseDesign's posts sometimes, having read Nora Deirdre)

hip deep in pie

From way back, ita, I haven't noticed a span torrent, but my gmail is good with filtering it out. Even my spam filter is empty now.

I pay $20/day for catsitting for one visit a day.

God, it is so lovely out right now. 80 and dry and windy to make it comfy. It won't last. And inside, my lovely lovely house is proving its lovely thick insulating walls and is still below 70 (I set the heat at 67 or so) and I throw a blanket over my knees. LOVE.

Hahaha. I do this ALL THE TIME. Apparently my brain zips the usernames. It registers starting and finishing letters and intervening caps and that's about it.
