Tivo got hacked? Yikes. What effect does that have on users, do we know?
Email addresses and names have been leaked. No financial information is compromised, and no data is corrupted.
a guy who was all proud of having scammed his insurance company
This guy looked like he was waiting to see how I'd react, which was fair. Except, me, I'd have lied about it. I mean, you already have no morals, why not lie on a first date? Maybe he didn't like me enough.
And he wore a gold chain, and I just couldn't deal.
No, that doesn't sound like the man for you!
I got the TiVo email too...but my spam folder generally does a pretty good job. But I'm unclear if the TiVo hackage means that my credit card number was taken? (Edit: Thanks ita! Excellent)
Can't think of who he'd be the man for. Wait, yes I can. Probably a lot of Republican Congressmen would hit that.
I dunno, my ass is pretty big (as is the rest of me) and JetBlue's seats were verrrra comfy. I think you can scratch that anxiety off your list.
Nora, thank you, that actually does relieve a lot of my anxiety.
Americans tend to have a missionary spirit to win other people over to their way of thinking and are likely to judge other societies in terms of the United States. Americans often think that other countries should use their example and adopt their ways of doing things. Other cultures are often evaluated as better or worse than this one rather than simply being seen as different. Americans tend to think that theirs is the best way to do things, in spite of many serious social and environmental problems in this country.
Yeah, I'd say this is spot on. IMO.
Nora, thank you, that actually does relieve a lot of my anxiety.
Yay! I helped! You've seen pictures of me, right? You know I am a lady of ample proportions?
I don't know if I've seen pictures of you! I don't have an image of you in my head.
I've never flown JetBlue, ZK, but I can testify that United's seats are still pretty damn narrow (luckily, on my flight out, I didn't have anyone next to me, so I kept the arm rest up).
OMG, it is freakin' gorgeous out here in southern NJ today!! Mid-'70s, sunny, light breeze, just the perfect spring day. Of course, I spent the first 8 hours of sunlight stuck inside waiting for my mom to get out of surgery and then getting her settled in her bed. The first time I stepped outside the backdoor with the dog to see if she had to go, only to have her sprawl out on the patio to bake in the sun, I decided to join her for a few minutes.
Sure enough, that was when Mom needed me to help her get to the bathroom, and I couldn't hear her through the door. When I came back in ten minutes later, Mom had already navigated her way there and back on her little scooter (she puts her knee on the pad to keep her foot up and uses her good food to scoot her way along). I apologized profusely, but she was cool with it. Now she knows she can get there without needing any help.
I got the "we were hacked" email from Tivo and Chase, but so far I haven't noticed any extra spam. (But then, I almost never see spam anyway - Gmail's pretty good about filtering it out.)
Aaaaaaaaaaaack - I just found out that the woman who claimed my free box of maternity clothes is planning to donate them to a CPC. She hasn't picked them up yet...would it be totally cowardly of me to offer them to someone else (who emailed saying she could pick them up today)? The alternative is a long and tricky email discussion wherein I avoid bluntly asking the question "So is this the kind of CPC that actually helps people, or is it the kind that feeds women dangerous medical misinformation so they won't get abortions?"
And I've found the email from ABE.
Ohhh -- Crisis Pregnancy Center? I think they are all the second thing, aren't they?
