BoA is the devil. I've only had a credit card with them, but they *refused* to drop my APR from something like 23% even though I had a history of a year or more of on-time payments. (And this was before the economy collapsed; maybe even back before 9/11.) Just flat-out refused.
The local bank I have my checking with gave me a credit card at 0% for the first 12 months. I even TOLD BoA that I wouldn't transfer my (please don't judge) $15,000-ish credit line away if if they would just lower my APR. I had been with them for a long time and wanted to have a record of longevity.
They said no, we won't lower it. I asked, "So, you don't want the interest on my large debt?" They said, we don't think you really are going to transfer it away.
Boom. Gone within 2 weeks. Jackholes.
Also, mindblown by that promo. That official promo.
That's awesome. That's like the Sam and Frodo commercial that TBS ran way back in the day: [link]
Finally, all the talk of soda has me drinking a ginger beer with Crown Royal. I know a dark rum and ginger beer is called a Dark and Stormy; does whiskey and ginger beer have a name?
Okay, the internet is being vague and telling me that ginger beer + whiskey + Angostura bitters is a Highball. But I have no bitters. I am bittersless.
Perhaps a Mediumball?
Oh man! At location where N's soccer camp is, there is a giant sign that says "BEWARE OF WAYWARD BALLS." I need a picture of it desperately.
Maybe the drink could be called a wayward ball?
BoA is the devil.
Not just BoA. I got a home equity line of credit through Citibank for $15K, just enough to do a couple of small projects around the house. Used it, paid it, used a little more, all fine.
And then I had a minor problem with Macy's on a brand-new charge card that resulted in a ding on my credit rating, which I got resolved--it was entirely Macy's fault--but Citibank immediately sent me a notice that my HELOC was cancelled. When I called them, they just said, "Too bad."
So when Citibank customer service called me a couple of months ago, asking how they could help me, I read them the riot act. I can't pull my regular banking from them (it's walking distance from my house, and the only other bank that close is BoA), but I swear I won't get a mortgage from them.
I had two credit cards from different companies that were both bought by BoA. I say that to point out that it was never my intention to be a BoA customer. Back when the credit card companies were faced with the upcoming limits on how much they can gouge their customers, BoA halved my credit line. This dropped my credit rating. Then BoA increased my interest rate because of my credit rating.
Just got home from another Sassafras track, this one less than 24 hours behind her. DH is in NYC, so K sat in the backseat watching DVDs (thanks, Sox!). Until she puked. She apparently has my motion sickness, poor kid.
Now I have to clean up that mess before I can go to bed, but I've been up since 3:30 a.m., and I have to be at work at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
Okay, enough whining. Sass is still out there, K is sleeping sweetly, and the tracking dog had a check up and is cancer free.

This is all wonderful news!
You guys are getting closer, Sparky! Sorry about the barf, though.
Sparky, every day, the first thing I do when I wake up is open b.org and check announcements because I know one day soon it's gonna be "SASS IS HOME"!
