Dad ~ma to Kat and belatedly to Sue.
Where is a good place (online) to buy work appropriate nice t-shirts/long sleeve t-shirts for summer? I am in a weird size where plus size t-shirts fit to baggy, but sometimes XL regular is too small (or then again, too big). I would say lands end or LL bean, but their t-shirts were getting a lot of complaints. And J.Jill had bad colors (everything was blue)
"Suits suck,"(/Billy Walsh)
And I still say that without being a real fan of Mad Men. I mean, I admire how well-crafted it is, but without the self-righteous satisfaction of noting how "It's better now," , a privilege I feel soon to be denied in Brewerstan, it kind of makes me feel worse about life. I just like it when the writer wins.
Tim Goodman is also forgetting how little respect David Simon's work used to get. The Wire used to be on the bubble chronically and get outrated by Desperate*fucking* Housewives, not that I'm bitter or anything. It used to be said around HBO that only 250 people watched the Wire, but we were the most devoted 250 people in America.
I think being The New Thing on during the writer's strike as well as the related "the reporters support me in e-mail," kerfuffles are what truly changed Blown Deadline's fortunes, not that Simon was intrinsically more appreciated.
LL Bean's pima cotton line is excellent quality - soft and they last forever. [link] I can't really speak to the larger sizing issue - I fall between a small and a medium (really I'm a medium but I prefer a closer fit).
You know how there's this phenomenon where you get a metallic taste in your mouth for days-weeks after eating pine nuts from China? I got it. It's YUCKY. (Google "pine mouth" for details.
Oh no, ick! My mom got pine mouth a few months ago, and hasn't eaten a pine nut since. So far I've been lucky.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, TOM!
It's Monday again. Didn't we just have one of these last week? What gives?

I live in fear of this because I can't stop buying TJ's super cheap Chinese pine nuts and putting them in everything! I know I should just suck it up and shell out for the Italians and use them less but it's so hard. A friend of mine had the pinenut mouth a couple of months ago and I'm trying to remember what she used to lessen the impact. I want to say some kind of vinegar. I can check.
I also have a deep fear that my expanded ass won't fit in the tiny JetBlue seat and they'll throw me off the plane.
I dunno, my ass is pretty big (as is the rest of me) and JetBlue's seats were verrrra comfy. I think you can scratch that anxiety off your list.
Sophia, what about larger sizes of the Gap or Old Navy, or are they too casual? My work is so casual, I'm losing sense of what's appropriate for work.
Sizing is so wackadoo and changes from item to item that I could never say that one store has shirts that fit me consistently. Old Navy sometimes does, the Gap sometimes does, Ann Taylor Loft sometimes does. But sometimes they don't.
Thanks Flea, Sue and Lisa! I hate being a size 16 (or 18)- nothing from anywhere fits right!
I think I could probably do the Gap- although the LL bean ones are nicer. I wear them with skirts, so I can be a little more casual than if I wore them with pants. I just want them not to be baggy, because I have large breasts and a small waist, and I don't like things that hang from the breast area, which the plus sizes do on me.
Obviously not fucking enough, or you'd be more eager for morning.
this is interesting out of context.
