Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

We had that yesterday. Today, it's only supposed to be in the low-to-mid 80s. Sweet summer bliss, and perfect for the parade!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It's hot and humid again today, which means no bike riding for me. I was thinking about going to the lake to go swimming, but I'm just tired and don't feel like going out anywhere.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Erin, it's pretty church-specific, and the betas I'm waiting on are people who know church doctrine and the history of our parish and diocese; Hec's already given it a secular beta and proclaimed it cogent and affecting, so now I'm stuck waiting on the churchy betas before I send it out to, er, a shitload of national publications.

Of course, if you want to give it another secular beta, I'm happy to send it along because I'm just that whorish!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

We're MUCH cooler than we were yesterday, albeit muggy as all hell, what with the projected thunderstorms coming through.

Go on, bebe! I'm not much on current church doc, but I'd like to read it anyway, and will point out anything I see from a secular/editory perspective. With your mad word skillz, I'm sure it's wonderful.

Perhaps my medieval church knowledge can come in handy! (Probably not...::sniff::)

Wow, the Native American stereotypes in Annie Get Your Gun are really horrible.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Men's singles are finished, right? It looked like doubles were on, so I stopped taping.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oooh. JZ, tell me you'll send it to NCR, right? I bet they'd run it. NCR is my source for church news (although I don't subscribe to the paper version anymore, just the blog).

I got up at 7:30 and took the dog running in the woods, and it was hot and sticky and it's a Spare the Air day, so we did the short loop. And I cooked some rice because TNG is having the trots for some reason.

Now I'm in a sundress and considering doing laundry and cleaning the kitchen. After I finish my tea. And maybe a movie this afternoon, if it gets really gross here.

Because books.

Men's singles are done, Dana.
