Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, fuck your boss, msbelle. Not literally.

OK, one person from my department went to the training, and I think two other people have at least seen the Ribbon. I feel fine now.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ginger ale people:

how would you rank the list posted above?

Of the 13 they have listed, I have only consumed 4 of them and Vernor's would be dead last every time. Sprecher's - I have had their root beer and I was not impressed, so I wouldn't try their ginger ale unless I lost a dare.

Boylan's is actually pretty good. I like Canada Dry (but I grew up on that brand). Seagram's is good in a pinch.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

A perfectly clean bedroom, five hours later.

OMG, five hours of cleaning. I can't even.

Note to self: need to get housecleaners in on a regular basis.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

OMG, five hours of cleaning. I can't even.

If I cleaned at this level more often than every few years, it wouldn't take me five hours to clean one room. I'm hoping that if I do a decent-enough purge, it shouldn't take me this long again until I move.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay, msbelle!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I've been doing sorta cleaning. Laundry, and I made my bed, and put away some stuff, and put new drawer pulls on a wardrobe. (OK, that last one doesn't really count as cleaning.) Next step, I think, is put some more stuff away, and then break down some cardboard boxes so that the recycling people will take them. I also have to figure out what happened to my garbage can, since it seems to have disappeared in the two weeks I've been gone.
