Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

IIRC, Keith Olberman really blew out his knee or ankle while using those fingered toed shoes.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

if I were in charge I'd have to outlaw those fingerered shoes. They FREAK ME OUT!

I LOVE them. Seriously. Very comfortable. I have gotten all kinds of wild reactions to the shoes since I've been wearing them (2-3 years now).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They FREAK ME OUT!

SERIOUSLY. I am entirely against them. Sorry, folks.

However, requiring heels can't be allowed. I can't wear most heels without pain, and I'm sure there are enough people who can't wear any heels without pain for it to be a really stupid idea. They're patently suffering for fashion. It's like requiring pierced ears. It's a medical thing.

Was he running in them? I do not do that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

as someone who wears vibram five fingers shoes about half the week, I would not be amused.

I didn't just meet you at a thing on Wednesday, did I?

Because books.

They look hairless hobbit feet of the future. So wrong. I'm all for comfort, but I just wear flipflops. Or go barefoot.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, the university doesn't actually have a dress code so it's going to be interesting to see where this goes.

She particularly called out flipflops and sneakers - she didn't say heels but I can see it going that way. (I am also imagining a future of ties for the men.)

I'm also seeing this as an indication of more ridiculous things to come.

I realize that some people get a little too carried away:

I have white and purple ones so they don't really look like extensions of my own feet.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

The New Girl isn't on until September.

I feel quite confdent that its commercials will get more than 30 minutes of airtime each week until then, so it will feel like we've all been watching it already.
