Oh Sparky. He sounds like a tool. So sorry.
Today, I came into work and was told I was expected to help with graduation (In three years, I've only taught seniors and no one has EVER asked me to help with graduation). I couldn't go to practice (well, I could, but I didn't) because Grace's school had a thing. And she's leaving the school. And her teacher is retiring. Etc. etc. So instead, I took Noah (who is with me at school) to that.
Then we went home and had lunch. Now we are back at school since I'm contractually supposed to be here. Even though I have ZERO students and my room is clean.
Sigh.
Perkins,
besides Sudoku?
Heist (it's a new one) is pretty good and fun. I haven't gotten to the end, but there is supposed to be some prize.
Zentomino is also pretty fun.
Perkins, here's more:
Fling!, Time Geeks, Auditorium (this one has music if you like that kind of thing)
Ooh Sparky, I am furious on your behalf.
Ugh, I started a huge house project that I now need to drop only partially done because I NEED to go grocery shopping. Grrr. And then need to come home and finish as much of the project as possible before I pick up kids since it involves absurdly breakable dishes and vases. Argh. And when I'm all done? The house will look essentially no neater because I'm cleaning up cupboards, not moving the large swathes of furniture that need to be rearranged. Fume.
sigh.
Okay, repressing frustration and moving on to the next item.
Perkins, I second the Sudoku rec. I ended up buying the Sudoku Expert package because they are nicely challenging. And DH downloaded a sort of sudoku-riff number puzzle for free (not sure it's still free however) called Strimko something or other. Decent puzzles.
But you will KNOW it's cleaner, Burrell!
I get your frustration, though -- you're all "5 hours of sweating and it still looks like this?"
Hmm. That pretty much sums up my attitude towards my ass, too...
I'm too lazy to take this to Tech so I will ask here--does anyone have any recommendations for iphone/ipad apps for memory/concentration oriented games or puzzles? Either kid or adult appropriate would be fine.
Falldown is definitely concentration-oriented, though not necessarily memory-oriented. Sushi-Go-Round is addictive and memory/concentration-oriented. There's also a Set app.
Thanks! I have suduko, but I was thinking more memory than figure it out apps, so I will look at the others.
perkins,
my favorite sudoku for the iphone is "sudoku2" - I like the interface and levels.
:(. Megan lost. Still! Wimbledon! My cousin!
So, there's that.
Person at work, please send me your notes. Boss is going to start harassing me for mine, and I need to crib off of you. Kisses!
