I'm so far behind in this thread but I wanted to check in and ask a Sass question. I know she has been spotted - does anyone know how far she is from where she was lost? I'm just sort of curious how far a dog might travel in 2 months. (ANd my fingers are all crossed that she is back home soon.)
CJ crawled in bed a half hour ago. WTF? Not like he has had much to do today. Tomorrow is another quiet day and then he helps with the little kids karate classes (3 - 9 year olds).
I think I'm going to cap my day off with a glass of wine. Maybe. I should really just go clean my room.
Suzi, did you see my F2F post? I just want to make I'm not messing things up for you or anyone else.
I vote wine, Suzi. You deserve it.
Nonian, I know where they had spotted her was pretty far from home, but I'm not sure in actual miles.
I did see your post...will respond in thread, but all is good.
The wine is all the way in the kitchen and it is unopened. Where is my cabana boy?
Java, so excited about the prospect of you owning your home!! Fingers and toes crossed.
And I'm laughing wryly at the real estate talk. I owned my first condo when I was 23 and sold it for a profit to remodel a gorgeous two story colonial house in Connecticut...and then I got divorced and moved to LA and will likely be a renter the rest of my life since I couldn't even buy a small house in my neighborhood for what the CT house cost. Still, better than San Fran or NYC! And I love Pasadena. Renting is fine with a good landlord, which we have in spades.
Gonna be a weepy evening, watching a PBS thing on the Columbia disaster. Challenger was one of those moments in my childhood I can remember acutely, but Columbia really hit me where I live as an adult, being invested professionally in the shuttle program. I still, to this day, remember an interview with Kalpana Chawla, where she described seeing the reflection of Earth in her own pupil in a window, and that just captured so much of oneness to me, and that was one of the first things I thought of as I listened to the coverage on NPR as I sat in line at the emissions inspection station. I bet the workers wondered at the chick crying in her car.
It meant that when SM4 with Atlantis happened, I was half-sick from takeoff to touchdown.
Yikes! Tornado touches down in Louisville near Churchill Downs: [link]
I'm also still bitter about the whole having to sell the house during the worst of the housing market downturn, so never mind me.
Yeah, I hear that. Ugh.
