Has Steph left for the shore already? I missed calling my mother to wish her a happy birthday, and I blame her. A cold, emoticonless email will have to do.
Oh, holy crap! I didn't even think of it this year! My mom turned 65 today and you would think it's the end of the frigging world. She does not like the aging process. So we all agreed to minimally acknowledge her birthday (but not age) this year and move on. (Except for my brother, who is pissed -- rightly so -- that she told him he was fat. He wanted to send her a birthday card that says "Happy 70th Birthday, Skeletor!" I'm pretty sure he did not.)
