I got my dad a movie-theater gift card and a couple of sciencey-type books I thought he might like. And we're going on a hike with him this afternoon, and then there will be grilled steaks and a homemade blueberry pie.
It's kind of terrifying to realize that he's 83, and there won't be many Fathers' Days left.

I'm going to the Pirate Festival with my folks, because that's what my dad wanted to do for Father's Day. Give him a cannon battle and he's happy.
