And in completely different news, I offer the best thing on the Internet today: Batman in Culottes. (My favorite one is Pudgy Batman in culottes, thinking "So roomy!")
Natter 68: Bork Bork Bork
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Hahaha. I love those.
That first picture almost looks more like a utilikilt. Which makes perfect sense to go along with the utility belt.
Damn, the riot makeout photo was staged.
No. At least, not based on anything there. I assume Buzzfeed-dude couldn't bother reading the article he linked to, since he's acting like "Aha, from this angle it isn't anything like what the photographer described!" but... it's exactly as the photographer (and others) described it. The Guardian's done several follow-ups. There's another photo from right after the kiss where other people are entering the frame to see if the girl's okay.
OMG, I am so tired and cranky today, and a coworker just brought by some outside people she's been meeting with, one of whom I've been on a business trip with, and I had to hug her, and I'm all Casual Friday and ugh.
Damn, the riot makeout photo was staged.
There's a comment that rebuts this assertion. They say the overhead shot came later.
I also saw someone tweet the overhead shot to claim it was an assault.
The couple have been identified, and she was knocked down by riot police and struck her head. Her boyfriend was comforting her. [link]
Aha! Authentic Riot Kiss!
As long as we're on the subject of really badass riot photos, there was an article on Cracked fairly recently that should definitely be linked here:
Shrift, are you still using the fitbit, or is it some other fitness tracker? How do you like it?
I am! And it recovered after being doused with sweat, yay Fitbit.
I like it a lot. I haven't lost a ton of weight since I got it, but I've gone down a size and I'm definitely in better shape. It's keeping me active with a combination of data, guilt, and competitiveness.
