My boss said she was unhappy with how the whole thing has rewarded bad behavior, i.e., if you didn't make a choice in a timely manner you were rewarded by not having to choose.

In the meantime, the state legislature has generously given itself until December 2012 to pay bills due by end of fiscal 2012 (i.e, June 30, 2012.)

They are so nice to themselves.

sumi, I've got HMO Illinois, which is the Blue Cross HMO, and they've been great for me throughout this whole surgery process. I've had the least grief from my insurance company out of just about everyone at my support group meetings.

That's a great photo, but who thinks, "Ooooh, there's the line of riot police, let's make out."

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

The "Inspired by Luongo: letting someone score" caption cracked me up.

Kathy - my local clinic doesn't take that HMO.

"Got it bad, got it bad, got it bad/ I'm hot for riot..."

"Ooooh, there's the line of riot police, let's make out."

You know, disasters do bring out the eros in some people.

Darn it! I'm surprised they don't take the Blue Cross HMO--you would think that would be a rather prominent one.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This is totally not a piece about Chris Evans. It's an I'm-a-lucky-bitch-amirite? piece. Is that typical of GQ?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, that's the kind of piece I usually haaaate, where it's supposed to be about the subject but ends up being mostly about the writer, but I really like Edith! So I'm conflicted.

Well, Chris touched her knee and kissed her knuckles, so I think it's fair to hate her. But I read four pages, and I know blessedly little more about his high hotness, and that's disappointing.
