Yowza! Boston managed to bring their home game to Vancouver in a big way.
On my way out of Boston tonight, all the bars near the "Garden" (since it's the new thing, not the real deal) had lines out the door. There must have been a wee bit of chaos there when the game was over.
Life is weird. Ok, follow this...
KCD is getting married on Sunday. His high school buddy, G, is going to be there. Twenty-two years ago, G married a high school friend, D, who already had one child, R. They had two other children together, but that is beside the point. I remember that it was 22 years ago, cause it was the weekend after the Loma Prieta earthquake and K-Bug was a bun in the oven. We would visit their family occasionally, more in the last 7 years than before. K-Bug kinda had a crush on R, but they were either too young, funny age difference points, or in a relationship, so it was just innocent flirtation. Flash forward, K-Bug and R have reconnected, neither is in a relationship and both are quite interested. They are keeping their budding whatever a secret for now, I only officially found out because he wants to come visit when K-Bug moves out here, he is in New Mexico, a mear 8 hour drive. I'm not allowed to say anything since KCD will see R's dad, G, this weekend.
I so totally want to be there when KCD finds out about this.
Yay for Bruins fans! Have fun celebrating!
X-post: cool, Suzi!
Oo Suzi, that has the makings of a great story.
Kat, I am loving those pictures of the kids. Love the ones of both of them together. Love Noah and Darth, and Grace waving. Great set of pics.
Stop rioting, Vancouver!
Seriously, you're totally harshing on the whole PNW mellow thing.
I know you haven't had a shot at hockey relevance in...forever. But just because you get to a game seven winner take all scenario doesn't mean...
Okay, I get it. Don't burn down all locally owned stores, okay?
Yay Bruins!
Oh my god, I think he's going for the eyebrow backwards combover.
Are you sure he's not Jonathan Hardy? (He voiced Rygel in Farscape, and they gave Rygel his eyebrows.)
Kat, the pictures are wonderful--you have very photogenic kids.
Suzi, that's a surprising story. Seems almost destined, somehow.
Wow, Chara looks like he wandered in from a random basketball game.
