Good news: I arsed myself to dig up the repair receipts from closing and found the roofing contract. Guaranteed 10 years from installation as long as it is recoated every 3, transferable with sale. It's been 2 years. So I will call them tomorrow, damnit. And I know what I'm doing next spring.

It was actually a back xray, which makes a lot more sense. Nothing turned up, so it's all muscular, as I suspected. Finally escaped and am waiting at CVS for drugs now.
