Cymbalta made me crazy and kind of catatonic, but the joy of these meds is that what works for one person is utterly ineffective for someone else. It's just trial and error.

That's so bizarre! And awesome. I kinda want to watch it all realtime because there were a few big jumps in there. I want to participate! I'll trace a line!
Yay for preK slot!
Yeah, no kidding, sumi. Ruler on Ice's domain apparently extends to water in all its forms.

I know! I definitely wanted at least a little more of the real-time video.
Yay Gar!
Dangit. I only got a third of my swim in before the pool closed. Hope to try to finish up later, but it is dicey. I should've gone as soon as the Y opened.
Oh, Steph, I wanted to ask you -- someone I know has just been prescribed Cymbalta (active ingredient: duloxetine) for intermittent bouts of depression. I've been doing a bit of research into it, try and work out if it's a good choice of AD and what they should look out for. Do you know anything about it?
I don't know much about it; I think what Pix said is pretty on the money for most ADs -- something might work great for one person but be horrible for another. Which I realize doesn't give you a whole lot of info.
The most common side effects are nausea and headache, and will probably go away within a week or two. Sometimes it can cause either insomnia or hypersomnia (go figure), but that usually goes away within 2-4 weeks.
I don't have any personal experience with it, and I'm not aware of any medical articles about dangerous effects. My (unfortunately generic-sounding) advice is give it a shot and try it for at least 6-8 weeks (unless the side effects are bad enough to warrant stopping, like Pix did) to see if it works.
I don't know if this would go in Movies or Boxed Set or whatever, so it's going here.
I'm watching The Stand for the first time. I had no idea it was so Jesus-y.
I always thought one point of the Stand was that God was as big a monster as the Devil.
For the fizzy water people, are you using bottled water or tap water?
I use tap water that goes through my Brita.
What is in tonic that makes a diet version necessary?
Sugar. Soda levels of sugar.
