Coming out of a two-day work conference for our marketing organization. My sub-group of that had a get together thing and we were asked to collect one unusual or unexpected thing about each person. (We all know each other pretty well so it wasn't offputting.)
Out of twelve people, three (including me) modeled for the Sears catalog as toddlers, I was born in the same hospital as one of my remote coworkers, two went to school with Jennifer Garner, one was the 4H club barbeque champ of Arkansas, and Chris O'Donnell owes one of us 75 cents from a bet at camp that he welshed on.

My roommate was just all "Got a minute?" --because his girlfriend can't find a sublettor (she's moving to San Francisco for the summer??) suddenly he's decided to move into her place while she's gone and then get a place together (he and I had talked about whether they'd be doing that, but he said not until at least September, and maybe longer). ARGH. Do not want to find new roommate. ESPECIALLY do not want to find new roommate ASAP. GRRRRRRRR.

Brenda, it doesn't, except his lease was up at the end of the month. So 30 days notice is all I get (he'd said he was going to sign a new one but hadn't). I had to remid him he couldn't just bail at the end of this month, that 30 days is longer. Still--I wasn't planning to last minute look for a roomie!
(I can afford the place on my own...but with a roommate it's a lot more do-able while still having fun)
Dessert tonight: Strawberries from the CSA, topped with mint whipped cream, mint also from the CSA.

I need to get my USB ports fixed (BOTH are borked, WTF?) so I can do cray things like back up stuff to an external hard-drive (I'm burning to DVD, I know, how old-school) and put a freakin' mouse, fuck this touchscreen for doing a ton of work!
