Sometimes I miss having powers... Oh. Oh! I know what this is! This is peer pressure! Any second now you're gonna make me smoke tobacco and--and have drugs!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Well, that was a fun little fire drill. Wish I'd worn different shoes today, though.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Those egg cozies are totally cute, but what are they for? Soft-boiled eggs? Do you want them to stay warm until you eat them?

I am really ignorant about egg eating in general, so I am going ahead and asking the stupid questions.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Somehow, I think having ninja eggs - even cute, crocheted ones - glaring at me over the breakfast table would not be something I'd want to face early in the morning. Although, I imagine, if I were to take the time to softboil an egg, put it in an egg cup, and slip a cozy over it, it would be on a leisurely morning when I'd be awake enough to face it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Those ninja are white.

I don't know what you use an egg cosy for, but they are cute little ninjas, aren't they?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I find soft-boiled eggs a lot more scary than ninjas.

To be filed under, "Maybe someone at the buffistas will find this as funny as I do"... a conversation from Twitter.

Classicist 1: Registered the inscription.es domain, just in case we might want to do something with epigraphy...
Classicist 2: I've always been tempted to register the test.es domain, just in case we want to do something with bollocks. (Y'know, as we might)
Classicist 1: Sadly, that domain is taken, as is test.is. Bet we could come up with some good, rude Latin domains though...
Classicist 2: Damnit! It wasn't last time I checked. I should have done this years ago, shouldn't I?
Classicist 1: You snooze, you lose, [Name].

Unfortunately I don't really know either of these dudes, and it's my professional space, so I don't feel very comfortable going BWAHAHAHAHA! at them.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Now that I'm going back to school for my master's, I have a lot more interaction with early-20-somethings than I have since I was that age, and it's a big shock to say the least. I'll mention a tv show from the 70s or 80s, and they have no idea what I'm talking about.

My friend who is going back to school for his MBA says that he's the culture guy in the class. The prof will say something about Patty Hearst, for example, and everyone will look at R for clarification.
