I think of 30 year olds as really young.
Man, but I'm totally an Old! I talk about investing and exercise, and want those kids offa my lawn! Um, when I'm not wearing Threadless T-shirts to work and making inappropriate comments in public?

Now that I'm going back to school for my master's, I have a lot more interaction with early-20-somethings than I have since I was that age, and it's a big shock to say the least. I'll mention a tv show from the 70s or 80s, and they have no idea what I'm talking about.
children! you're children! sigh ... I recently turned 59
What Toddson said.
I had actually been looking forward to 45 last summer, but that hasn't really worked out all that well.

ARGH. Seriously people, it's called the internet. USE IT.
So I don't know if anyone's been following the story of the lesbian blogger from Syria, who was reported as having been carted away by Syrian security?
Well, it's beginning to look as though she might not exist at all: [link]
Someone certainly exists, and they're probably Syrian, but it's uncertain whether she is she, or gay, or disappeared.
I am kind of alarmed by being 35.
I keep saying I am 53 and have to be reminded that I am 54, which means in August I will be 55!!!! That seems old to me, very old. Luckily, my DH is still in his 40s, so we don't have a fully AARP household.

Yeah, I didn't read the article on that because just the headline made me sad. Sigh.
I feel so cynical--there's something trending on twitter about some 15 year old girl with cancer who wanted to trend on twitter before she died--someone linked to her blog and it only had two entries, and i was like "really? I'm supposed to believe you didn't just copy these two photos from a cancer website? Yeah right"

"Kaycee Nicole" has a lot to answer for, I suspect. Although to be fair if she hadn't done it, someone else would have (and has done).
