You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I think everybody decamped to fb or twitter or both, Suzi. DW's almost as dead as LJ.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

So I'm going to get the chance to talk about my boss to her boss(es).

And, boy, do I have some heavy complaints against her.

Anyone have any pointers about how to do it without hanging myself (because I'm paranoid that the Big Bosses won't give a shit about my grievances), or sounding whiny and petulant resulting in not being taken seriously? Anyone have personal experience with this kind of situation?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Be very, very careful. I wouldn't say much of anything that you can't back up and that isn't against some rule or code or something.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Looking at that list of pilots, I have to just shake my head. Most sound unappealing at best. The Ron Moore pilot with Jamie Bamber sounds like it could have promise, although part of me is thinking "Lord Darcy, the series!"

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Julie,

I second what Jesse said.

You likely know this already, but if you going to take this step, make sure you know what you want out of all of this. I never go into formal complaint situations without some idea of what I want or what I want changed and what I will do if such things don't happen.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Huh, FB and Twitter provide such a different outlet than LJ does for me. LJ is more for longer postings and postings I can lock down tighter than FB or Twitter allow.

Is introspection or rambling out now?

What about bullying and demeaning behaviour, spreading lies, micromanaging, lack of trust in her staff, absolutely no empowerment, disrespect to the intelligence of her staff, gossiping about board members at out staff meetings, chasing useless grants, threats towards my salary as natural conclusions to honest and nonthreatening questions, general breaking of the spirit of the staff and promoting territorialness?

We're all fucking miserable under her thumb.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

LJ is more for longer postings and postings I can lock down tighter than FB or Twitter allow.

Which is part of the reason I will never ever give up LJ. Besides, I can barely remember to check FB regularly, no matter how many notifications it sends me.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Suzi, I still prefer lj to fb and twitter, but I'm almost a lurker I post so infrequently.
