The stuff at the farmers' market was enough for me to put together a pretty good dinner with some pantry staples -- pasta with spinach, tomatoes, garlic scapes, and canellini beans. Still in the process of cooking it, but I think I'll throw in a bit of white wine, and maybe some oregano.

I didn't make it to the market Saturday, but they start Wednesday markets in June, so Imma go on Wednesday
I bought a tomato plant, and will buy a couple more, but I need tomatoes now. I also want to see if they have berries yet. I think I'll have to wait a couple of weeks for peaches.
I bought a mint plant, and I think I'll pick up a parsley plant. I really have to focus on container gardening this year. Which is still 1000X more than I did last year.
Our CSA has totally been asparagus, leafy greens, and herbs. Next week we get strawberries, though.
I have hit a wall in the house cleaning / decluttering. 4 things to mail out and 1 medium box of things tagged for a garage sale.
I finished my reread of A Clash of Kings.
That pretty much killed my day.
Our farm box had eggplant, tomatoes, cucumbers, peaches, strawberries, blueberries, summer squash, mushrooms, cantalope, peppers, pattypan squash, and sprouts. Nom! We are doing eggplant parmesan tonight.
My garden is just getting started. It's been really rainy and cold, so most things were planted late. I have some spinach up and strawberries are just starting to form. Eta: And the cilantro I grew last year reseeded itself and is going crazy. Everything else are just sprouting seedlings or tiny transplants. Shortest growing season ever!
I wish our CSA combined veggies and fruits. They are separate shares and I am only signed up for veggies.
I've been challenged to say why genre TV is decades behind mainstream fiction.
Behind in what way?
Behind in what way?
Integrating minorities as fully-fleshed characters.
But I don't think it is. I think TV is behind life, but genre and mainstream are reasonably even.
