Darn it. Today is the second anniversary of my mom's passing. Last year we remembered the day by going exploring in Denver. My mom loved a good explore. Today CJ and I were going to go up to our CSA farm for their open house. CJ has decided he doesn't want to go, citing that we have been away from home so much lately, he just wants to hang here.
I kinda feel the same way, but was also looking forward to going up to the farm. I could go alone, but would rather have company.
Thanks for the birthday wishes!
Now I need to decide where I want to go to lunch.
Happy birthday, Dana! Wishing you cake and lots of nice things.
::hugs Suzi::
Sara is gone until tomorrow, with my parents. Ben is off to a friend's at four, and from there to the spring formal, and then back to the friend's to sleep over. S. and I have the evening to ourselves.
We're considering passing out on the bed at about 4:01.
Happy birthday, Dana! I will have a gift for you at, uh, some point!
Happy birthday, Dana! Have a delicious lunch.
Ben just left, and I'm surprisingly wistful. A big dance!
That's a big deal, Amy! How old is he?
What a mess, JZ. Good on you for going to the meeting. Is it not an RC church? I'm surprised at the pastor getting to fire another pastor.
He's fourteen, and a total sweetheart.
I'm surprised at the pastor getting to fire another pastor.
That surprised me, too, but I don't know much about the Catholic church works on the parish level.
I'm glad you found a new parish, JZ, but it's really a shame that the old one is having such a hard time.
My parents' church just elected a new minister, because the previous one retired after almost thirty years. He's Mexican and Scottish, and has a lot of plans to try to appeal to the Hispanic population in town.
