Oh, I wish those council guys would let me have an hour alone in the room with her, if I was larger and had grenades.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So on my way home from the train station a kid (around 17) asked me to call the police. I asked him what was going on and he said (referring to the group of teens behind him): "They're hanging out... gangbanger stuff. I'm not a part of it."

Nothing was going on. WTF?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

We had 4 over-the-air channels in Baton Rouge: Ch 2 (CBS), Ch 7(ABC), Ch 27 (PBS) and Ch 33 (NBC). My family never got cable, and we found out when the neighbor kid across the street started working for the cable company that they (the company) regularly checked to see if we were stealing cable because it was unthinkable that we should choose not to get it when it was available.

Here I can get one, an independent station and sadly NOT the one that does the yule log every year (I think that's KOFY 20).

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

In fact, Miss Kitty was a straight up whore and Marshall Dillon used her services, and he was a badass who'd beat people to death and shoot scofflaws.

HAH. I did not know that; I only saw it when it was on in the 70s.

We had four main channels growing up (ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS), and then a couple of UHF channels, including the one that ran Creature Double Feature on Saturday afternoons, that was awesome.

But our summer house in New Hampshire only got 1 channel, the ABC affiliate out of Portland, ME. I have a strong recollection of suffering through "The Donny and Marie Show" many Friday evenings when I was 10 or so...

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Ah, the Creature Feature. I remember seeing that at my grandma's house and hiding behind the ottoman when I saw the creepy face graphic they would always show before the commercial break.

We had the Son of Svengoolie here by the time I was in junior high, and he was a hilarious host for the scary movies. "Berwyn?!?"

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Whee! My new skirt arrived! For a while I had been drooling over the handmade skirts sold by a local craftperson. They were silk, with some type of neat applique sown onto the bottom. I finally gave in and bought one at Balticon. It needed to be resized, so the crafter would do that, then send it to me. It's black with blue dragons and orange flames on it.

Yay, another item for my con wardrobe.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was OBSESSED with Donny and Marie. I loved them both sooooo much.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Well, you are a little bit country AND a little bit rock and roll.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's true! I really wanted to be Marie and still marry Donny.

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

I always request "little bit country, little bit rock and roll" at piano bars, but no one ever knows it. Makes me sad.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I really wanted to be Marie and still marry Donny.

OMG, you totally need to be in Game of Thrones or Supernatural fandom, you freak.
